COMMANDER 5 CORPS VISITS DHA CITY KARACHI

Karachi, November 13, 2017: Lieutenant General Shahid Baig Mirza, Commander of 5 Corps and President of the Executive Board of DHA (Defence Housing Authority), paid a visit to DHA City Karachi (DCK) situated on the Super Highway. Upon his arrival, he was warmly welcomed by Administrator DHA, Brigadier Shahid Hassan Ali.

The Commander’s first stop was at the recently opened DCK Sector-3, which is now ready for construction. He praised the quality and standards of infrastructure and sector development work in this area.

During his visit, the Corps Commander toured the entire DHA City, witnessing the fast-paced development work in full swing. He found the progress both impressive and reassuring. In light of this, he directed the DCK management to expedite the completion of development works in Sector-5, Sector-7, and the Central Business District so that they can be made ready for construction at the earliest.

The Corps Commander inaugurated four fully furnished Farm Houses that were built against the backdrop of the picturesque natural surroundings of DCK. He commended the architectural elegance and construction excellence of these Farm Houses and instructed the DCK management to complete the remaining Farm Houses promptly.

Later, the Commander visited the recently established DCK Junior School in Sector-3, which is currently educating 90 students from the local and surrounding areas. He interacted with the young students and recognized the school as a symbol of progress and enlightenment that would positively impact the area’s future.

Before concluding his visit, the Commander received an in-depth briefing on the progress of ongoing development activities and the new initiatives related to education, health, energy, and recreation within DHA City. He applauded the effectiveness, versatility, and pace of these developments, considering DCK a promising project with the potential to offer a modern, comfortable, and secure living environment for its residents.

In closing, the Commander encouraged the dedicated team at DCK to continue their hard work with unwavering zeal and dedication to transform DHA City into a unique city of international distinction.
