Karachi, August 2, 2017: The Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) is embarking on a groundbreaking endeavor by establishing a new DUHS Campus and a Teaching Hospital within the upcoming DHA City Karachi (DCK) project on the Super Highway. This initiative is poised to expand the horizons of world-class medical education and elevate the quality of healthcare services in the province.
DUHS’s decision to set up a campus at DHA City marks the inception of a new era in medical progress and advancement within the country. A delegation led by Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr. Muhammad Saeed Quraishy and Project Director visited DCK, where they dedicated substantial time to explore the project site. The delegation was warmly received by Project Director DCK, Brig Muhammad Rafique (Retd), who provided them with a comprehensive overview of the vision, effectiveness, and ongoing development endeavors at DHA City.
The Vice Chancellor of Dow University hailed the DCK project as a remarkable and forward-thinking contemporary venture with significant potential to evolve into a city of international renown. The DUHS team then proceeded to inspect the Healthcare District within DCK, where a new DUHS campus spanning 10 acres is taking shape as a cutting-edge medical institution, symbolizing a significant leap forward in healthcare and medical services.
The Vice Chancellor expressed a keen interest in accelerating the construction of the new DUHS campus in DCK, which had its groundbreaking ceremony earlier in the year. Following the site visit, the DUHS delegation departed fully content with the progress and prospects. The DUHS Campus in DCK is set to provide high-quality medical and clinical training to talented students from all across the country, making a substantial contribution to the advancement of our beloved homeland.
